And Day 3!

Day 3 and it's Friday already!!  What a fantastic week to start our year!  We started our day with a special guest reader... Mrs. Layton. We found out that she LOVES to read to students!  She started out with a spelling activity, asking the students for help spelling the word "principal". She pointed out the special ending to this word and reinforced that being a pal is part of her job as our principal. She then read us a great story - ask your child to tell you about it!

Later in the morning we did some math.  It was so exciting to get a brand new math workbook that will last us all year.  Students worked on page 1 and then explored more math Manipulatives that will be used throughout the year. 

We are read this great story and practiced a fire drill.
