Highlights From the Week of March 22

What a busy week it was in First Grade!

We began the week by adding realistic colors to our model animals that are part of our animal research project.

We had a Dance Party on the front porch area as our School-Wide Celebration for expected behavior!

We spent time in the forest learning about, thinking about, and illustrating our favorite signs of spring.  Some we could see around us, but many are things that we are looking forward to seeing and/or doing.

Students always love when there is time for a little free explore time in the forest.  It is so wonderful to witness the teamwork and activities they choose to engage in!

RES had the first All School Morning Meeting of the year!  Our fourth graders led the meeting which focused on equality and justice for all.  We then went outside to see the raising of the Black Lives Matter flag.

We also started sharing our animal research projects with a museum walk around our classroom.
