Day 2

Today in first grade students were able to explore some math tools, and begin working on a Big Book writing project "All About Us!"  We also began our study of Monarch Butterflies.  Students listened to the book "Velma Gratch and the Way Cool Butterfly". Then we took a walk to our community garden to see what milkweed looks like (be sure to see the note about monarchs in your child's folder today!!).  The First graders are doing a great job remembering and showing classroom and school wide expectations!!

First Day of First Grade 2014

We had a successful first day in first grade today!  Although there is always a lot to talk about on the first day of school we tried to have some fun, too!  We are off to a great start!!

Community Welcome

It was so nice to see parents and students this afternoon at the RES Community Welcome!!  Excitement was definitely in the air!  I am so looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow for our first day of first grade!!
