Subtraction Games

This morning first graders played Five-in-a-Row and Roll-and-Record with subtraction.  In both games they had to roll or flip over two numbers, figure out how to write a subtraction equation with their two numbers, and finally solve the problem and record on their game sheets.  It can be tricky remembering which number to begin your equation with!
