3-D Shapes
Our math lesson today focused on working with 3-D shapes. We are developing vocabulary to describe 3-D shapes such as faces and prisms. Today students did two different activities. One involved matching a specific geoblock to a 3-D picture, and then trying to make their own 3-D drawings, and the other involved building a structure with geoblocks that another student would then try to replicate as closely as possible. Students used various skills including comparing size, shape, and orientation of different objects.
