Cooking with Seasonal Fresh Veggies

This morning First graders had a very special visit from a community member and mom, Katie Webster!!  Katie came in today to share her passion and talent for cooking and creating healthy seasonal recipes.  Students rotated through three different stations helping to make homemade hummus, maple ranch dip, and chop up fresh vegetables for dipping.  The students loved learning about Katie's work, her job in our community, and her connection to the local produce grown on farms like Jericho Settler's Farm that we recently visited.  The healthy snacks were a huge hit!!!
