What is a Scientist?

First graders are getting ready to begin a science unit on force and motion and to get us started we read a book called Ada Twist, Scientist by Andrea Beaty.  This lead to a wonderful discussion about what a scientist does, and what they need or use.  We can't wait to become scientists ourselves as we explore, hypothesize, test, and observe during this exciting unit!
