Our First Experiment!

First graders completed their first experiment this morning, complete with a scientific write up!  We started by learning about the scientific method and then walked through the steps of the experiment together.  The question that drove this investigation was "Does the weight of the ball affect how hard or easy it is to make it move?"  Students had to make a prediction, draw their plan, execute the plan, observe what happened during at least three trials and then write up their conclusion.
