We started a new unit during our writing workshop this week - we will be learning how to write "How to..." books! To write a "how to" book, the author must first figure out what they are an expert at doing or making. So our first step was to brainstorm a list of ideas together as a class (to get our thinking juices going!) and then each student brainstormed their own individual list. We sure do have a lot of expertise in our class!! We also read How to Make a Birdfeeder to help get us familiar with this genre.
