Forest Time Thursday

We made our first trip out to the forest and our outdoor classroom space this morning and it was a great success!!  We listened to a book about the importance of taking care of the world around us and then took a few mindful minutes to just quietly notice the beauty and peacefulness of the spot we were in.  Next, students became detectives looking for and collecting small items from nature that will be used in an upcoming project.  Finally, we ended our time with some free exploration around this wonderful space.  They all had a blast and can't wait to go back out there!
