Nonfiction Features

First graders are learning about many different features of nonfiction texts and how they are helpful to the reader.  After learning about each feature or convention, they look through various nonfiction books to find examples of that feature and create a page to show their examples.  After learning about many different features, they will end up with a booklet which they can refer back to.
