Last week first graders did the following activities: Staircases (built representations of numbers 1-12), Mystery Bags (counted large numbers of objects in a systematic way), and played Compare with both dot cards and number cards.

Recent Math Work
Over the past week first graders have been busy with many different math activities involving counting and comparing various numbers. Today they played a game called "Plus 1, Minus 1 Bingo". After flipping over a number card, they had to add or subtract 1 and could then choose which of the two answers they should cover on their bingo boards.
