Research!

First graders began a new writing unit and a new reading unit upon their return from the holiday break - reading and writing nonfiction/informational texts!  As a part of these units, students will choose an animal to research (read about), and also write about.  The first step was to choose an animal.  First graders utilized a great online resource, PebbleGo, and explored a vast array of animals and insects, and made their final choices.  They are very excited to start the research process!
