A Shapes Walk

Friday was such a beautiful fall day that we just had to take our math outside!  We started a unit on geometry this week decided that we might find some really cool shapes outside!  We grabbed our clipboards and took a "shapes walk" around the school, and even made a stop in our new outdoor classroom.  What we discovered is that shapes are actually ALL AROUND us!  Everywhere we looked we saw a shape, even a blade of grass!  So amazing!!
