Vegetable and Fruit Farms with Miss Virginia

Today when Miss Virginia visited with us she focused on vegetable and fruit farms.  She had a large variety of fruits and vegetables that we had to first name, and then sort into piles of those that grow in Vermont and those that grow "far away".  We also learned how a small, hard, dry seed starts to grow, what it needs, and how it continues to grow into a plant.  After listening to a fun story we were then treated to some taste testing!  We tried "Green Drops", "Moon Squirters", and "Orange Twiglets".   We also got to sample some fresh mango!
