Highlights of Our Week (week of Feb. 11)

What a busy week we had last week!  There was a lot of learning going on in addition to Valentine's Day, a snow day, Snow Motion,  a "Jump For Your Heart" assembly, and two principal candidate visits to boot!
Despite all of that, we still accomplished quite a bit this week.  We  continued to work on our animal research (which we will be finishing up next week), we learned more about fractions during math, we learned more about finding interesting and fun facts in our nonfiction books which we marked with sticky notes and shared with others, and we started learning about "biomimicry" and how humans get many of our ideas for inventions through what we see in the natural world.
