After writing our Hopes and Dreams for our learning in First Grade we realized that we needed to create some classroom rules and expectations so that we can all support each other to attain our hopes and dreams throughout the year. We read some fun books to get us thinking about important rules and expectations, and then brainstormed a long list of ideas for our classroom. We realized that our list was so long that it would be difficult to remember them all!! So... we thought about our three school expectations (Respect Yourself, Respect Others, and Respect Your Environment) and figured out that all of our ideas actually fit under these three big "umbrella" expectations!
To show that we promise to try our best to follow these expectations we made thumbprint promise critters!
