We started our Friday Letters this week and we are so excited! The goal behind writing Friday letters is to increase and inspire communication between our classroom and students' families. First graders will write a note home to their families each Friday telling them a little bit about their week at school. My hope is that this not only inspires conversations about what is going on in our classroom community but that it also provides a real-life purpose for the students as to the power and importance of literacy skills!
Please take the time to read, discuss, and respond with your own letter back to your student! They love reading your notes back on the following Friday!
