Coping with the Cold

 If you were an animal living in the New England area, how would you cope with the cold winters??  Well, first graders can tell you!  We spent some time recently in our outdoor classrooms learning about just that!!  There are four main ways that animals cope with the cold: hibernation, dormancy, migration, or remaining active.  We also learned about various animals that do those things and did a fun sorting activity.
