A Week in Review - Week of Jan.31, 2022

Highlights from the Week of Jan. 31, 2022

Our week might have ended with a snow day but we still managed to pack a lot of learning into the four days that we were in school!

During the week we:

  • Celebrated Groundhog Day and learned a plethora of interesting facts about those creatures!  (Also known as Woodchucks and Whistle pigs!!)

  • Celebrated the 100th Day of School!!

  • Made a “Tree of Learning” to show all of the things we have learned during the first 100 days of school

  • Chose our animals to do a research project on

  • Continued learning about telling time to the hour and made our own clocks

  • Started learning about fractions specifically halves and designed our own “half and half pizzas”

  • Learned more about self-regulation, read a book called Peaceful Piggy Meditation, went over many ideas of things we can do to help ourselves regulate when we are worried, anxious, angry, excited, etc., and practiced the balloon breath

  • Had a visit from our district’s Occupational Therapist, Ms. Bailee, who taught us a fun animal movement activity
