Adventures in First Grade During the Week of Feb. 14, 2022
From Valentine’s Day to “Hat, PJs and Hot Chocolate” day, to Olympic Bingo we had a very fun and full week!
We:
Celebrated Valentine’s day by sharing kindness and cards with each other, as well as by making a Valentine for our families
Finished our 4th unit in math on Measurement, Time, and Fractions
Learned about the Olympics and played some Olympics Bingo - during which we all earned a gold medal!
Enjoyed our school-wide celebration of Hat Day along with our classroom celebration of PJs and Hot Chocolate Day (for completing another 60 hours of reading homework!)
Continued to work on our animal research project
Continued practicing and learning the “-ng glued sounds” with a suffix s
Ended our week with a fun movie as we were not able to do Snow Motion (hopefully, we will get a make-up day after the February break!)
