Week of March 14, 2022
Another great week was had in first grade! It was a week filled with lots of energy and excitement! A full moon, the time change, no masks, and a holiday to boot, but we made it through successfully and had some fun along the way!
We:
Hung our beautifully painted hearts with positive and uplifting messages all over the school entrance area to spread kindness and love to our whole community
Had a Guidance lesson with Ms. Spaulding and learned about the parts of our bodies that are private
Had a Health lesson with Nurse Hadley and learned about recess and playground safety, as well as fire safety
Continued to practice reading and spelling words with blends at the beginning of them
Wrote the conclusion page and started the covers for our animal research books
Did some fun St. Patrick’s Day activities
Worked on missing addend story problems in math
Played the math game “Five In A Row” using 3 numbers and looked for partners to 10 and/or doubles facts to add first
Health lesson with Nurse Hadley
Working on beginning blends with a fun St. Patrick's Day sort
Checking out our loot!
