From Space to Super E to Trees, Here are the Highlights from the Week of April 4, 2022!



This week we: 


  • Created habitats for our clay animals

  • Colored our clay animals

  • Learned about Fact Families during math

  • Learned about the “Super e” during word study

  • Had some outdoor learning time on Wednesday morning and learned more about trees - the different layers inside and under the bark, we also observed and sketched the buds on the trees - which we will continue to do throughout the spring

  • Began our new science unit on Space and the Day and Night sky

  • Visited the Book Fair 

  • Practiced doing some yoga and learned about some new calming and regulating tools 

  • Started having Quiet Time after lunch before we transition into Math (this will be especially helpful after we are eating in the cafeteria every day!)

Started doing 5 minutes of quiet time after lunch.  Listened to quiet music while drawing or doodling.




Made our invitations to invite families in next week!

Learned about the Super E and practiced spelling words with it
