Do Plants Need Light?

A little over a week ago we started an experiment to figure out whether or not plants really need light to live and grow.  We placed one plant in the sun by the window, and one plant in a dark box.  Both plants are getting water, air, and are in soil.  Today we did our first observation.  We are already seeing some differences!
