Seeds Are Planted!

We were busy planting on Thursday and Friday!  On Thursday after noon first graders were able to plant their two sprouted bean seeds. They made predictions on how soon we would see the plant start growing above the soil.  

We did some more planting on Friday.  We planted radish and carrot seeds, as well as some onion bulbs in a root view container so that we can watch how seeds grow under ground!  

And finally, we set up an experiment (a big focus of our unit) to help us learn about the affect light has on a plant and how it grows.  We are leaving one plant in the light, and putting on plant in a dark space.  We will keep checking on them and making observations to see what we learn!
