Classroom Expectations

After beginning this discussion on classroom rules and expectations last week, first graders were able to finish it today, complete with making a thumbprint critter as a promise to always be trying their best to follow these. Throughout a wonderful discussion, it was discovered that all of the rules that they had come up with last week (no pushing, pick up after yourself, no standing on tables, for example) could actually fit under our three school wide "umbrella" rules: respect yourself, respect others and respect your environment.
