Lots of Counting!!

During math this week first graders had the opportunity to do lots of counting through a few different games and activities.  As a whole class we played "Start With, Get To" and in partnerships students played "Collect 20" (or 60 or 120), as well as did the activities "Mystery Boxes" and "Staircases".  Students did lots of counting practicing not only counting by ones, but by tens and fives too!!

And did any of them mention that they each get their very own math workbook this year?!  That was pretty exciting!!
