Groundhog Day
On Friday first graders learned some very interesting facts about ground hogs - like they are also called Whistle Pigs and Woodchucks! The book we read was a mix of fiction and nonfiction. We had a great discussion about which parts were fiction and which parts were nonfiction, and why they thought so.
