Rainbow of Tens

First graders have been working very hard this week getting to know their partners to ten or pairs of numbers that equal 10. Knowing these facts like the "back of your hand" is extremely important and is essential as they move on to working with higher numbers.  This past week they made a rainbow of tens facts and played a few games to reinforce their learning of these facts.

  1. Wow! I really like the rainbow tool for thinking about pairs to ten. This is an important skill to have. I notice my fourth graders need to know these facts quickly and it helps them do math with bigger numbers and different operations like multiplication. Keep up the great work!
