Double Compare

In math today, first graders played a game called Double Compare. They played in partnerships, each turning over two number cards from their pile.  Their job was to add the two numbers together and compare their total with their partner's total, and finally, figure out who had the greater number by comparing them. There was some great math thinking going on!
