Peas and Carrots
First graders tackled a new type of story problem in math recently. This problem had them figuring out how many different combinations they could come up with for the number 7. The story problem itself was about a magic spoon that would only scoop up seven vegetables at a time. If the vegetable were peas and carrots, how many of each could be in a spoonful? It was a different way of thinking, starting with the whole and figuring out the parts. They did some great math thinking!!
