Towers of Ten

During math today, students played a game where they rolled a die to collect linker cubes and build three towers of ten.  Afterward they wrote equations to match their towers, finishing partners to ten.  Students have been working on various problems and activities which have them starting with a whole number and figuring out the parts, as well as starting with the parts and figuring out the whole.
