7 Peas and Carrots

Have you ever heard of a magic spoon?!  Well, in math today first graders heard a story about a magic spoon that spoons out exactly 7 peas and carrots each time it scoops up a serving.  The challenge today was to find as many different possible combinations of peas and carrots that could have been scooped up by the magic spoon to equal 7.  Tomorrow students will share what they found out!
