New Reading and Writing Tools

First graders were introduced to some new tools to use during reading and writing workshops.  The first was "whisper phones". These can be used when reading to self, they increase the sound of ones own whisper so that you can read out loud without reading too loudly.  For students who need it a bit more quiet while they are reading, they can choose to wear noise reducing headphones. 

Another tool introduced was the "spaceman" which writers use to help them remember to ,eave spaces between words as they are writing.
