Geometry

We started our second unit in math this past peek, and it's on geometry!  First graders have dug right into working with the various geometric shapes in the pattern blocks set.  Activities included filling in outlines with shapes that would fit, creating their own designs with a set amount of blocks, finding different ways to make the shape of certain pattern clocks (rhombus, hexagon and trapezoid), and playing a game called, "Fill the Hexagon". They are off to a great start!
